College & University
Your NSTEM Journey Begins Here!

In our interconnected world there is an enormous gap between the demand for STEM trained professionals and the supply of career-ready, STEM-focused two and four year college & university students. The National STEM Honor Society™ (NSTEM) was founded in part to fill this gap, particularly among underserved communities. Through innovative STEM education and enhanced project based learning enrichment, students develop their passion for STEM disciplines, inspiring them to pursue these subjects as lifelong interests and careers.
At the college & university level, students are working to connect with a network of like-minded individuals who will provide opportunities and open doors in industry for them as they prepare for STEM-related careers. These pursuits can literally change the trajectory of their lives and those of their families through high paying, rewarding, and challenging professions.

College & university is the designated recognition for members of the National STEM Honor Society at the college/university level. Students are distinguished, and stand out as a result of this recognition, increasing appealing employment and educational opportunities.
The National STEM Honor Society believes that STEM is an exciting journey through all grade levels, that starts early and lasts a lifetime… From Pre-K to Career.
The College & University Student

In the college & university setting, student-driven project-based learning enrichment is a bridge to the future, more than at any point From K to Career™. Students think outside the box, employ critical thinking, and collaborate in creative and dynamic learning environments, preparing them for the high-paying, and demanding real world or further educational pursuits.

Two and four year college students are exploring the STEM universe to identify and refine their career interests. Chosen STEM majors and concentrations enhance focus on foundational knowledge and skills, resulting in an enthusiasm to contribute to their desired disciplines. Their GPA demonstrates the ability to succeed and commit to individual achievement, paving the way toward their chosen professional directions.
This is a time in their lives where they visualize and work towards aspirations, and weigh their STEM interests against future employment and further educational opportunities. They gain the confidence, and the “can do”, never give up attitude that results in grit and dedication as they transition to the next exciting chapter of their journey.
