Cameron Hendricks
My name is Cameron Hendricks. I am thrilled to introduce myself as one of the tri-directors of the video department at NSTEM. I come from the small town of Milton in Delaware, and I hold a degree in Film and Screen Studies with a minor in History from Pace University in New York City.
Having run video department meetings for a month, assigning assignments, organizing videos, and now being involved in another big video project, I am excited to take on this new role as a tri-director. My passion for video production and editing has led me to this leadership position, where I can use my skills to make a positive impact on the community by promoting the ideas of STEM. Not just that, as a person with Autism, this sets a really big moment that even with me being neurodivergent, I can still tackle leadership roles like any normal person would!
Throughout my life, I have always been drawn to science, and I firmly believe that it is essential to encourage students to consider careers in this field. With NSTEM, I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community by creating and editing videos that highlight the importance of STEM. My experiences working with students in a school district have taught me the importance of making education engaging and accessible, and I hope to apply these lessons to my work with NSTEM.
My dream job after NSTEM and my career? Maybe to work on Netflix’s Season 2 of “Wednesday” or some other big show or film production. But the future is always a sight to behold. I always love the world of “Wednesday” after watching it on Netflix, and it led me here. And now, with NSTEM’s help, I am confident that I can continue to develop the skills and experience necessary to make that dream a reality. I am incredibly excited about this new position as tri-director of the video department, and I am committed to going the distance to create high-quality video content for NSTEM and beyond. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself, and I look forward to working with the NSTEM team!
