My name is Albert and I am from Saugerties NY, mostly known as the town next to the famous Woodstock NY where the Woodstock 69 festival took place. At the moment, I am preparing for my senior year as an environmental science major at RPI. Being raised in the Hudson Valley, I love the outdoors, and I hope to one day work on cleaning the Hudson River. I hope to gain experience through NSTEM meet some great people!
The thing I enjoy the most about STEM is being able to use what I learn in the classroom in the field. During my 6 semesters at RPI, I have learned quite a bit about geology and geologic history. It is really great being able to go on a hike with friends, and telling them everything about a rock formation. It never gets old when someone comes up to me and asks, “what kind of rock is this?”
