The core mission of the National STEM Honor Society™ (NSTEM™) is to inspire and recognize excellence from K to Career in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The NSTEM Program is designed to grow with students From K to CAREER™, providing new opportunities for children as they advance in their education and NSTEM experience.

Unlike other honor societies that may only meet once a year to recognize the academic achievements of students, the National STEM Honor Society is an ongoing, vital group that works with students throughout the year. And unlike student clubs, NSTEM admits only students with a record of excellence in STEM coursework and engagement in STEM enrichment activities, making membership a prestigious honor.
Members are involved in STEM projects as well as extracurricular enrichment activities such as science fairs, community activities, and summer camps. A curated library of NSTEM resources provides chapters with multitudes of activities for group and individual participation.
Every Chapter is a little different, depending on the level, the school, and the Advisor, but we suggest meetings be held at least monthly. Meetings might present projects or challenges that students can continue working on during their free time, separately or collaboratively, at school or at home. Occasionally, outside speakers or virtual speakers from our vast library of resources may address a chapter.
Types of projects and activities should always be adjusted according to the ages and levels of the students.
