As spring ends and summer approaches, high school seniors find themselves finishing the last of their finals and scouring the world for recognition opportunities, scholarships, internships, and other resources. NSTEM is the perfect guide to help with the transition to college! NSTEM has partnered with various educational organizations to provide students several chances to gain scholarships and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Some of these organizations allow students to complete coursework on a college campus, which presents students with the possibility of working in STEM labs or simply preparing for college courses.

The Benefits of NSTEM
NSTEM has numerous membership benefits, especially in its resource library. Students who are members of NSTEM can apply for the $1000 scholarship that NSTEM gives out specifically to its members. NSTEM chapters can receive recognition by winning the National STEM Honor Society STEM Champions of Excellence Awards; recipients of these awards will be recognized on the NSTEM website, social media, and newsletters.
Financial Opportunities
Just as building up college resumes is an important part of the college admissions process, many students must think about paying tuition and financial aid. NSTEM has connections with multiple organizations that provide scholarships to incoming freshmen and college seniors getting ready for their final year. When members search through the NSTEM resource library, they can find a plethora of scholarships opportunities. Apart from scholarships, NSTEM members have access to diverse opportunities such as internships.
Valuable Experiences through NSTEM

Summer offers endless time for students to discover volunteer opportunities or internships and gain experience working in STEM industries. NSTEM’s resource library has numerous organizations that offer internships and volunteer opportunities in the summer. These volunteer opportunities can help foster relationships and give back to the STEM community. Furthermore, the library allows students to filter through locations and choose the internships or volunteer opportunities best for them. Many of these internships provide housing or stipend for students with financial aid. More information can be found in the NSTEM Resource Library.
In addition to its resource library, NSTEM also writes various blogs regarding STEM activities, resources, leaders, and topics. Check out some of our blogs here.
