world there is an enormous gap between the demand for STEM trained professionals and the supply of career-ready, STEM-focused two and four year college &amp; university students. The National STEM Honor Society\u2122&nbsp;(NSTEM) was founded in part to fill this gap, particularly among underserved communities. Through innovative STEM education and enhanced project based learning enrichment, students develop their passion for STEM disciplines, inspiring them to pursue these subjects as lifelong interests and careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the&nbsp;<em>college &amp; university<\/em>&nbsp;level, students are working to connect with a network of like-minded individuals who will provide opportunities and open doors in industry for them as they prepare for STEM-related careers.
